With intermittent lockdowns, people have become used to staying home. It has resulted in many people getting into a rut and feeling disconnected from others. This disconnection results in a silo mentality, lower well-being, an increase in office politics and disengagement. All of these factors negatively impact productivity for the organisation. Human beings are a social species, and the science shows that the #1 factor in happiness and well-being is connection. As a social species we all have a deep desire for whanaungatanga (belonging).

Solution

Connect is a one-day (or bespoke) program to help teams as they ease back into the face-to-face work environment. It accelerates team dynamics and helps galvanise groups quickly. Connect uses play as pedagogy, which embodies and enriches the learning. The program levels the status in the room thereby creating equality and helping to develop relationships quickly. It creates a safe learning environment which helps people can drop their barriers and open up to their colleagues. In a non-judgemental space, people tend to take more risks and extend their comfort zone so they feel like they’re developing in their role. Fun and learning are not mutually exclusive and the fastest way for people to connect is through laughter. Connect does all of this and more.
